SAN LEANDRO -- The skull and bones of a Native American Indian were found Friday morning at a construction site where a six-story Kaiser Permanente hospital is being built.
"We have had an anthropologist examine the bones and confirm that they are Native American," said Deputy C. Frazier of the Alameda County Coroner's Office. The bones may be from a member of the Ohlone tribe, whose members once roamed the area, he said.
