I mean I can not be the only one that on some days looks forward to coming home and just taking off every single stitch of clothing for a while!

No, I am not a nudist - don't want to be, would never try it out....it isn't my style to be running around nekkid in front of strangers. But totally alone in my own home, sometimes I just really look forward to it!

Despite being a size 6 body type, LOL I still am not entirely comfortable being nude to be honest. So I wouldn't want to accidentally see me in a mirror.

It is nice, and quite liberating to shed the bonds of uncomfortable clothing and go au naturel.

I do it every chance I get.

I especially like to sleep in the buff. It is so much more comfortable that way.

Maybe not naked, but I do every morning have a smoke and a cup of joe with nothing but a robe on outside - while very cold. Just something about having your own place with the feeling of, "Yeah, I'm outside and if the wind blows the robe open, who cares? It's my place and I should be able to be."

There are - and I can count on my one hand - some days (even at 4 in the morning) that I can walk out stark naked and smoke and drink coffee amongst the evergreens.

      So, I understand you fully.

Go ahead, and walk about (if you can) and enjoy nature in the raw!

I agree with that. The TSA has crossed the line and is violating our 4th Amendment rights with their naked scanners and "enhanced" gropings. They should be abolished! I also refuse to fly, even though my wife works for a major airline and I can fly for free.

I used to live in Europe, and spent a lot of time frequenting nude beaches. I was "butt nekked" like everyone else, but that was by choice, and over there nudity is no big deal.

I think it's more comfortable being mostly naked...always indoors, and with complete privacy.

I would go around with underwear and flaps on more often if give the opportunity to do so.

On the other hand, I think people (me included...) tend to look better with something on. So I'm opining only on a comfort level, not on a visually appealing level.....

Heres lookin' ya in the eye!

        US,

If you were 20 right now, would you be nekid--at home of course? It is nice...when it's warm enough =) If the Jehovah's Witnesses don't like your appearance, when they knock on your door unannounced, then maybe they'll cross your house off their list...haha! And, what are "flaps"--maybe flipflops? I don't care what you look like in all your glory--as long as you are happy and comfy =) I agree 100% with the privacy part, too.

I must add that if going au natural even indoors it is best to be sure the neighbors don't have any "views inside", or some adolescent pre-pubescent or just plain screwball might well be getting more of a view than he/she deserves.....or can handle......

I say Helz Yah! I always want to take my clothes off in the following situations: a bath, a shower, sex (of course, but maybe leave the shoes on--hehee), and when I'm extremely uncomfortable with too tight fitting clothes, or after I ate too much. I also like to stay naked as long as possible before leaving the house in the wee morning hours...if you eat or someone else does, or if your toothpaste is uncontrollable...it could lead to a big pain in the arse and a wardrobe change before work.

Of course, my furnace was broken this week for a few days and my HVAC hubby was out of town. I really didn't want to bare down to take a shower--62 degrees is Harsh on a naked, wet body and mentality without somebody there to warm you up =)

By already set that way, I assume you mean you were tagged to us-news automatically?

Hmm, all I know is that up above in the the grey bar where it says, "more" is a drop-down box and in it is "Not News." you need to add that tag to your green tags that you see above your name where "us-news" is currently. This article is not us-news. When you tag to the Not News category, the us-news might drop off; I'm not sure.

        lol...funny story...

I'm was in junior college (many years ago), living with my grandparents and I have the whole basement to myself (bedroom, tv room, bathroom) and I'm sleeping in (au naturel of course) and my father, who was visiting at the time, decides to come wake me up. So he cracks open the door real quietly, apparently sneaks over to the foot of the bed, and rips off the covers...

and just as quickly as he does that, he yells and throws them back over my...well..."morning" and runs out of my room.

To this day I've never let him forget it, and he doesn't dare wake me up anymore...lol.

When I travel, which is quite frequently, I sleep naked but have a t-shirt and shorts/pants nearby. I used to not keep anything nearby until one time the hotel fire alarm went off at 3AM and I had to scramble to get dressed. I only sleep naked at home if I lock the bedroom door.

I am frequently sans clothing at home, just not so much during the winter.

Ahhhhh, I am a child of nakedness!

Not a nudist by any means, but around my house? Clothes are not needed, unless someone comes over.

Now, I also live in the boonies mind you and I'm the last home on a dead end road. I would need to walk 5 minutes to visit my neighbor. It's South Florida. And I have no children...Pfffft! I'm goin' breezy! I keep decorative, washable throws on my furniture, so I can be nekkid and still have decent furniture for company by pulling the throws.

Sounds as if you are an an ideal spot for doing the streak outside!

My mom lives in the boonies, too, but in MN. She doesn't venture outside naked, but she frequently goes out in nothing but a robe or jammies. Two weeks ago the wind caught the door and locked her out when she was feeding her cats. It was about 10 degrees outside and her hide-a-keys had all disappeared. Thank goodness she has a hot-tub room that she leaves a window cracked at all times to help control the humidity of the room. She ripped out the screen and crawled back in. But sheesh--that would have been the untimate walk of shame ;) I've finally convinced her to have her cell in her pocket when she goes outside now...

I have a ranch with the closest neighbor about a mile away. Even then, you won't catch me running around lacking protection from the elements. Sunburn, frostbite, rattlesnakes, bugs... Lots of reasons to keep the clothing on.

Remember, as the late, great, Lewis Grizzard once wrote: "Naked" means you don't have any clothes on. "Nekkid" means you don't have any clothes on and you're up to something.

Does that mean you are "up" for something?

If I'm home alone and not expecting anyone to come over, there's pretty strong chance that I'll be naked for hours after taking my shower, until I have a pressing need to get dressed. I live out in the country, somewhat off the beaten path, so just about any friend who might come over would be smart to call first to make sure somebody was home, which makes the probability of a surprise guest almost nil.

Same here. The only reason I sleep in sweats and a T shirt is because it gets so dang cold here. Same thing for wearing clothes most of the time. Going outside is a different issue, it is usually way cold in the winter and in the summer, what I don't have covered or shaded will break out in an itchy rash, so I am mostly forced to wear more than I really want to.

This is funny. I dyed my hair one time and my sister got upset with me and told me. If God wanted your hair that color you would of been born with that color. I told her whispering......some kids are born with no hair, also if God wanted us to wear clothes why wasn't we born with clothes? Case close.

Hahah! that is funny! Another poster further up said something along those lines.

It does remind you of the summertime and toddlers running like a lightening bolt from someone - totally nude because they would rather not have a single stitch on them!

Our neighbor's son once came streaking (quite literally) across their yard and up to me while I was washing my car. He must have been about 2 years old at the time and didn't have a stitch of clothes on. He wanted to play in the spray from the water hose. His mom came over and said it was ok to hose him down. The kid was giddy with that.

Living near a college while very young....many warm nights were interrupted by the incessant honking of car horns outside going down the street - very slowly - being small we would peek out through the curtains and see a naked guy streaking down the road - college buddys hooting and hollering while the headlights and flashlights where shining on him hahaha....never got to see much more than that because we were always moved away pretty fast from the window!
